Simply seafood for Mama's birthday!

The plan was to eat at the dampa near the SM Mall of Asia with Twinx and family for Mama's birthday. But it was the first fiesta of our newly-formed parish of Padre Pio and Twinx's baby had a fever. So we didn't bother to buy our own seafood and went straight to Aling Tonya's to order from them.  The only problem with this is that you won't be able to choose your seafood and you won't know how much it costs until you get the bill. The only prices on the menu are how much their cooking fee is.

After about 20 minutes, the food arrived.

We tried out the chil crab for the first time and it's a good thing we ordered the sweet version which was only mildly spicy but very tasty!
Remember what I said about not choosing your own food? Mama said the crabs were too small.

We also had sinigang na salmon. The serving was humongous! We joked that we'd be eating this till dinner time.

We also had half a kilo of steamed shrimp and another half kilo for tempura. This was excellently done and my brother Jon liked the tempura sauce. Ma said the steamed shrimp was overcooked, though.

With 2 bowls of rice and drinks, our total bill was P2,300. Aircon was a godsend but too bad they didn't have wifi so we could surf whiel we waited for the food to arrive.

We had enought leftover  to bring home and even shared some with Twinx's family whom we visited. Alex was asleep when we arrived but when he woke up and saw us, he started moving around. So willing to entertain even when he wasn't feeling 100%. Hope you feel better soon baby!
